All
Welsh plugs are replaced and block painted with high temp paint.

Chasing threads with a tap to make sure threads are clean prior to bolted up heads. Also see the performacne engine shop we use take the time to do a nice hone finish and chamfer the tops of the bores. They also check deck heights. |

Optional porting of heads and we have done extensive flow bench testing to know what valves work best, what seat cuts, port design etc. Also see custom bronze valve guides which don't protrude into the ports as much as factory and other aftermarket ones, so better for flow. the middle large water gallery that has some large jaggered bits which
we remove to improve flow.

We take the extra effort to remove all the oil gallery blanking plugs in the block and heads, then the block is bored & honed, and the heads serviced then thoroughly cleaned and acid washed.
Oil gallery blanking plugs are then refitted. |
