This is why you should not pay cheap labour!!
"BODGEY MOTOR MECHANICS" |
- Cheap labour, often inexperienced, lack of care and ability, non specialist that doesn't know and don't have parts available, and often costs more in short term but as in this case long term as will ware the motor out.
- Careless use of too much silicon and inside the pic up had some big pieces of grey engine sealant also. Who ever applied this red sealant did not even properly clean out all previous grey sealant, and engine had poor oil pressure at higher revs and has worn the motor.
- Work shop did not clean old sealant off heads before resealing, and yes they quickly leaked oil
- Also did not use the correct factory rubber washers and large face factory screws to properly tension the rocker covers, which also did not help prevent stopping oil leaks.

- Magic Motors Mechanic tried to leverage off the crank pulley against and broke a large piece of alloy casting off the oil pump, then did not pull this piece out and it took chunks out of timing belt and badly scratched idler and tensioner pulley.
- Poor welding and fabrication of oil drain for a big turbo on R33 GTS-T and band aid fix was Metal Paste used which has broken off and not shown on this
pic and looked like a bees nest, and yes it was leaking oil.
- She'll be right just add more tape, don't need solder.
- Very poor quality intercooler fitment. Customer was charged 21 hour labour to fit this rubbish. Only has one blow off valve and factory oil cooler was removed to fit this complex piping. Poor design piping and poor welding.
